If you operate or are thinking about operating an Internet-based
home business, good for you. Go for it! There are a lot of business
choices out there - not all "legit" or honorable. Looking to expand my
own businesses, I have personally analyzed, looked at, studied, and
listened to my "mentors" for
business ops for quite time. What have I found? For starters, these
folks and their products are "the real thing."
Shelley Lowery's Ebook Starter
Got a yen to write? It's no wonder the Internet has been called
the "Information Superhighway", because it has become the first
and foremost source for multitudes for seeking information on...
anything and everything! Many are making anything from
a good to an
incredible living selling their own or others'
information "e-books" (electronic books).
With "E-Book Starter," in the inimitable Shelley Lowery tradition,
she incredibly
over delivers on what she promises to offer.
That woman amazes me!
This may be all the tool you need to create, produce, and profit
from your own publication. Even if you
have never written
for profit before, you may just now have found your creative
trigger and that escape from the "nine-to-five" you've always looked for!
Shelley Lowery's Web Design Mastery
Another from the pen, er, keyboard of Shelley Lowery. How the heck does
she do it?
This is the model for "over-delivering", a key for delighting customers
and for making a great reputation. Think this is just a book on
web site design? Think again! This is a soup-to-nuts, dead-on,
nuts-and-bolts
(have I used enough cliches?) business model AND how-to guide. In fact,
it is not one but EIGHT books, each
worthy of standing on its own.
I use this set frequently. If I could recommend only one
book to start with, this would be it.
Yahoo Store Profits
Andy Jenkins, "you de man." If there is one person who inspired - no,
literally stoked my fire - for seeing the possibilities of
Internet-based businesses, it was Andy. "Yahoo Store Profits" is a
veritable "how-to" for launching one's own 'net-based business -
the right way.
Although Andy built his business with Yahoo Stores, the principles he
applies are so sound - and they are ever! - that they just work,
period. If you choose Yahoo Stores, all the better.
And Andy's free newsletter is worth it's weight in gold. His writing
style is a HOOT (that's Southern for "uproariously entertaining").
I have learned
insights from it alone I would have paid for (shhh - don't
tell Andy). Run, don't walk to check out "Yahoo Store Profits."
You won't regret it.
Less Work, More Money!
Armand Melanson. What a guy! Thus far I probably have the most
"in common" with this guy, as my first Internet businesses utilize
his favored, and, I might add, extremely effective method of
selling drop-shipped merchandise. "Drop What?" Somebody else stocks,
packs, and delivers what you sell! Is that cool, or what? Armand's
book (actually known as "The Ultimate Dropshipper's Guide")
is the literal bible on the subject. And did I mention he's a
great guy? I wish I knew then what I know now - from Armand. Oh,
the time and money I could have saved! But you can learn what,
where, who, and how - the right way - from this brother from north
of the border (Canada). Get this book - and pay close attention
to what this man says!. He paints a vivid roadmap to success.
MUSIC
Hold on to your hat! If you love good music as much as I do,
I could go on and on (and on and on...) with my recommendations here -
and some day I may.
But for now I am compiling a "must have" list of some you probably
have never heard that have my personal highest recommendation for
their beauty, inspiration, or simple "feel-goodness."
Sorry. You won't find any "rap" here.
